The plot of this movie features Liam Neeson as Bryan Mills, a retired government agent. He reluctantly allows his 17 year old daughter Kim, to spend the summer in Paris with one of her friends. When they arrive in Paris, they share a ride with a stranger, Peter who seems nice enough and so they make the mistake of giving him too many details about their Paris visit – including that they’re going to be staying alone and what apartment they’ll be staying in.

Peter passes this information on and the girls end up kidnapped by human traffickers. Kim, while hiding under the bed, gets her father on the phone and alerts him to what’s going on. Then he hears his daughter getting kidnapped and speaks briefly to one of the kidnappers and promises to find them and rescue his daughter. The kidnapper sarcastically wishes him luck and smashes the phone. Bryan, using his skills as a former government spy, of course, saves the day – and his daughter! If you’re in the mood for an action movie, this is one I highly recommend!
